HELLO!

My name is Hannah and I started up Life and Limb after qualifying as a Body Control Pilates Matwork Teacher.

I started doing Pilates after the birth of my second child when I was looking for something to help me get back in shape, particularly my core which had taken a battering!

I had a great teacher and quickly realised that Pilates was a bit of a wonder exercise - it was relaxing and gentle, but also challenging and invigorating - all in a one hour session.

Along with the physical results, I started to understand better how my own body was put together, my own 'weaknesses' caused by my lifestyle (hunched over a desk for many hours a day) and how practicing Pilates and correct movement patterns could re-balance my posture and build strength and resilience.

Having done Pilates myself for several years and enjoyed the multiple benefits, I decided to study as a Pilates teacher - which was a lot more in depth than I anticipated (!) and in 2022 I qualified as a Body Control Matwork teacher and started Life and Limb. In June 2022 I became certified as a Body Control 'Back 4 Good' Practitioner - Pilates for the management of lower back pain and in January 2023 I gained a level 3 qualification for designing Pilates programmes for bone health and can teach clients with osteoporosis.

My philosophy is to make the benefits of Pilates accessible to all - old, young, male, female, recovering from injury or fit as a fiddle- there really is an exercise for everyone. And my aim is that you will leave each session feeling recharged and rebalanced - and stronger, for what the next day will throw at us!
